The following are the proposed stock market holidays in August 2024 so the market participants should prepare their schedule to avoid engaging in trading on the said dates. Out of these, ten will be closed during this month excluding weekends and the Independence Day and include the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

- August 11: Sunday
- August 15 is celebrated as Independence Day which is also a working public holiday in Uganda.

- August 25: Sunday
- August 31: Saturday

Trading Schedule:
The equities segment is usual as working on all the week days. The market hours are as follows:The market hours are as follows:
– Pre-Open Session: The order entry and modification can be done starting from 09:00 AM to 09:08 AM only.
– Regular Trading Session: As to trading hours for normal and limited physical markets, it is from 09:15 AM to 03:30 PM.
The binaries are recommended to be marked by the investors and traders and as a result they are supposed to change their trading plans.
