Saurya Airlines Aircraft Crashes at Tribhuvan International Airport

Nineteen folks including aircrews in the Pokhara to TIA bound plane flew off at eleven in the morning, told TIA’s official spokesperson Premnath Thakur.

The police and firefighters are now at the scene trying to help any people that may still be inside while trying to retain the structural integrity.

Unfortunately, the country has quite a dark record of flight disasters, streaking approximately one flight mishap per year. The accident is not the first fatal plane crash that has occurred in the region, for since the year 2010 at least 12 different plane crash disasters were reported.

Prior calamities are others such as the Yeti Airlines flight that crashed in January 2023 near Pokhara which caused the death of all 72 passengers and crew. The Tara Air plane crashed in the district of Mustang in May 2022, and all 22 persons on board died. Also, the US-Bangla Airlines flying from Chittagong to Kathmandu crashed near the Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal in 2018 killing 51 people and injuring 20.

The following paper focuses on the increased rate of aviation disasters especially in the Nepalese aviation industry thereby justifying the reason why safety measures and policies should be well implemented and strengthened.
