While plugging for his other film *Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba*, coming out of interviews, he discussed how there is some raw violence in his character Rishu that is in some way close to reality. He also shared a sensitive story that he was some time involved in martial arts such as karate, and taekwondo when he was young. To this, Massey noted that the physical training made him develop a physical might to vanquish anyone in sight, hence the aggression.

This was his testimony: “One time, in school break time, I slapped a boy on the jaw not knowing he had epilepsy, and from the blow, the boy began to froth and faint and his elder brother slapped me in return, these few seconds I do not remember being in pain because I was in a state of fear that what I did might have put the boy’s life in danger. ”
