King also demands more live performance places to help nurture upcoming artists.
Currently, Pakistan singer and rapper King whose recent song Maan Meri Jaan, stressed that there is a need to improve on how many opportunities there are for them to perform live. The artist who recently started his countrywide Listening Tour underlined the need for more venues for performers, believing that increasing the number of halls might change the center of focus from stars and help both the performers and the government.
‘I want more and better venues for artists; ‘ King said. “That way, the government will be able to secure some cash. ”; He also felt the need for live shows adding, “I know people are updated these days. But given that the pandemic is over, it will be of great importance for more artists to perform before the audiences.
The 29-year-old artist expanded on the issue of limitation in venues as follows, “With fewer venues, there is excessive focus on business. I know that people willing to support new artists exist but due to little production of venue, every venue looks to book artists who would attract most business. ”

King again urged for better building and infrastructure, this time stressing the aesthetic perspectives. And this is art and culture, fine; want better venues, better facilities to practice? Many new and fresh talents will be provided chances, who usually are not provided such chances.
With “Monopoly Moves,” King remains one of the pioneers of the Listening Tour idea in India and tries to provoke the creation of a new type of platform for artists. The Listening Tour is a concept of album release in which an artist can present their album for the first time live to the audience and critics.
“The phenomenon of such tours was initiated only in India in the last 3-4 years,” King said. [On the day when the album was released], I performed the album with my fans and friends in the industry in Delhi. A Listening session is when an artist plays some music to fans and minimizes the restricting wall that is mostly for industry people only. Artists perform as the album is being played to them at the moment it is released in real-time which adds a different energy altogether.
These efforts of King underline the fact that more attention needs to be paid to the live music scenario in the country and establishing opportunities for young talent.
