Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Struggles and Impact

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

In the highly anticipated film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the box office journey has been tumultuous since its release.

The film’s reception at the box office has been less than stellar. Initially launching with Eid expectations, the opening garnered a modest Rs 15.65 crore. Despite this, the first extended week saw the film failing to surpass the Rs 50 crore milestone.

Subsequent weeks witnessed a significant decline in earnings. For instance, on its second Friday, the film managed to rake in Rs 1.3 crore, which slightly increased to Rs 1.7 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.25 crore on Sunday. However, the following Monday experienced a drastic drop of over 60%, accumulating only Rs 85 crore, with similar figures on the subsequent day. By Wednesday, estimates showed a further decline with collections reaching approximately Rs 80 lakhs.

The film’s total collection now stands at a mere Rs 57.65 crore, which is substantially lower than its staggering reported budget of Rs 350 crore. Notably, a significant portion of this budget reportedly went towards the salaries of the lead actors. According to reports in the Financial Express, Akshay commanded an approximate fee of Rs 80 crore, while Tiger received Rs 40 crore and Prithviraj Rs 5 crore. Additionally, actresses Manushi Chillar, Alaya F, and Sonakshi Sinha earned between Rs 1 to Rs 2 crore each.

Despite its financial setbacks, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is expected to continue its run at the box office due to a lack of major film releases in the upcoming weeks.
