Delhi Government Increases Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate Fees for the first time in 13 years.

The Delhi government has increased the prices of PUC (Pollution Under Control) testing and certificates in the state for the first time in 13 years. Getting a PUC testing and the certificate for petrol, LPG and CNG-powered two or three-wheelers will be ₹ 80. For CNG and petrol four-wheelers and above, the fee is set at ₹ 110 and for diesel vehicles, the price will be ₹ 140. So, in all, the price of getting a PUC certificate goes up by ₹ 40.

In reaction to the long-unresolved command of the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association and to continue with the increasing costs of pollution checking services, we have distinct to amend the price, State Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said. Not having a valid PUC can captivate a fine of ₹ 10,000.

According to Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, every motor vehicle, including those conforming to BS-I, II, III, IV and those running on CNG/LPG is required to carry a valid certificate after one year passes from the date of registration.
