Microsoft outage: The global IT outage didn’t affect SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank.
Indian banks and payment systems are unaffected by the global outage, which has striked financial services contenders all over the world..
SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara told PTI, “We are all fine,” when asked about the strike of the outage on the operations at the country’s largest granter which holds nearly 25% market share.
NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) chief executive Dilip Asbe said the country’s payments architecture, including the widely popular Unified Payments Interface, has been unaltered.
HDFC Bank, the largest among the private sector granters, also said that it didn’t not face any disturbance because of the outage.
Ramesh Lakshminarayanan, the group head for information technology at HDFC Bank said, “Our systems are unaffected by the global outage. There is no impact on banking operations,”.
Officials at ICICI Bank and Axis Bank also claim that they are also fine and didn’t face any disturbance.
